Joel Ferguson
Music Director

    Joel Ferguson was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1957. He is a lifelong resident of Northest Tarrant County. Joel grew up in Friendship Baptist Church. He has participated in the children's music program, youth choir, and the FBS chior. In 1976 Joel became the interim song leader and later became the music director.

    Joel graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas in 1975 and from Texas Wesleyan University in 1979. Joel was married to Cheryl at Friendship Baptist Church on June 22nd 1978. Joel and Cheryl have three children. Josh was born in October 1980, Katie was born in September 1986, and Lauren was born in October 1991. Joel and Cheryl have two grandchildren. Drew was born in September 1999, and Hana was born in June 2005.

    Joel's desire for the music program is that Friendship Baptist Church will "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord... ...In psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Let everything that that hath breath praise the Lord. Prasie ye the Lord." (Psalm's 66:1; Ephesians 5:19; Psalms 150:6)
